James Hannon has been involved in the automotive repair industry all of his life. He worked beside his father, Gene Hannon Sr., now retired, who formerly owned the Westowne Exxon located in Catonsville. Gene Hannon, Sr. owned and operated Westowne Exxon for over 35 years and assisted his son in the start of Avalon Automotive. To this day, Gene Sr. expresses his opinion in the operation of the business.

James was taught the main components of a successful automotive repair industry; honesty, professionalism, and dedication. The main component however, is honesty. Our goal is to repair what is necessary, at a fair price and keep your automobile running in a safe and reliable manner.

We are not a dealership or franchise which has quotas or selling schemes to acquire business. Most of our business is by word of mouth and our history.
